A good clean start to 2022
Me and dad went up the field again – and me belly and legs changed colour as always…. I even put muddy paw prints on the outside of the car thing.
This is not the first time dad has had to put me in the bath – he won’t let me in most of the rooms in our house until I’m my normal colour.
Bath things started out as weird but I still wasn’t totally happy – until today.
Dad let me into the kitchen and back garden whilst the bath was filling up and his drink was ready.
Instead of running round and hiding from dad – today I walked into the bathroom thing (I did play a bit before but not like normal) and even walked up to the bath. I waited for dad to pick me up and I just stood in the wet stuff whilst dad made me the usual colour. No treats needed to get me in this time!
Me brain cell realised that bath things aren’t that bad and dad won’t let me drown (not that he puts much wet stuff in them). Having lots of these and nothing bad happen to me before builds up me trust level. Trust takes time – time takes patience. Maybe there’s a lesson there?
I did have me usual fights with the towel after – but that’s fun – dad didn’t really mind when I jumped up with the towel and knocked his drink out of the cup. Then we played ball outside as it was nice and me dried off.
Dad is waiting for the letter hooman to bring him me new toy – a portable bath thing.
We have a new colour theme in the bathroom now – mud.
Happy wuffffssss
