Dad has found me a new word to try and spell –
”desensitize”
Me thinks the simple meaning is “getting used to” [and that’s easier to spell] but however we spell it – it’s all good.
Not forgetting me was a very nervous and reactive pooch when I got here – the progress me has made so far is HUGE. Me always used to get excited and do my kangaroo moves at the start of walkies and me also usually had small zoomies after a walk. Me also didn’t like that harness thing being on me in the house very much. Me is so much better now and far less reactive.
Me nerves and me excitement thoughts all used to get confused!
We are now starting to have more walks each day but shorter ones, dad also kept me harness thing on for longer today and it was cool. Me didn’t try and eat it. Sometimes I have my harness thing on just coz dad puts it on – me gets confused then.
No zoomies this morning either!
Dad and me are still learning together but me thinks this could be fun – sometimes you have to stay still for a while to take stock of the situation and then make bigger steps forward – but dad says we are still taking it easy and at me pace – dunno what all that means but life is good. Me thinks we have been doing it since I got here but now we are doing it in a much more organised way now that dad understands me better. Understanding the situation is key he says ! It took a while to understand me coz he says me is super special.
Me has puppy classes next week……
