The Background Issue

The Romanian Dogs Situation Explained – I certainly hadn’t realised this until I started to look at getting a dog, so maybe other people don’t realise. It’s worth sharing as it show’s a line of thinking and a human trait that is just wrong and bloody barbaric.

A few years ago, a 4 year old lad was mauled to death in a city car park by a pack of wild dogs. A country wide law was passed – Stray dogs that are found on the streets are taken to public kill shelters (where conditions and people can be just as vial and worse than living on the streets) – after 14 days they can be legally killed/murdered. There is no government country wide program to aid or prevent the problem. No neutering of dogs; a lot of people just treat pups and dogs as “things” and chuck them out when they get fed up with them. There are also people who do physical things to dogs that just cause immense pain and emotional scarring. Beating a young dog so bad that they break bones in their poor bodies, throwing them into concrete ditches in pain and agony to just die – and perhaps one of the worst things I have read is where a young pup had one of its front paws/legs hacked off at the torso – not in a clean sterile surgery – just hacked off and then left to die outside. [this poor pup was saved!]

What does this say about some humans mindset and the dark dangerous thoughts that go on in their head? Perhaps society needs to rethink it’s view on prison over crowding and criminal sentencing! Current criminal sentencing for animal cruelty offences are too lenient in my humble opinion!

Some humans are just nasty, evil dangerous bastards!
