The Un-answered Question

Whom actually rescued whom when I signed the adoption forms for Marcus?

He’s been a challenge in a few ways and I’m sure there will be a few more hurdles as he goes through adolescence and into adulthood. We have had our moments, especially with all the other domestic shit I have had to deal with. If things were always easy then they wouldn’t be worth doing.

When I see his confidence growing daily and he does / achieves things that make me happy and proud – it just makes me so very happy and smiley inside that I could literally burst! Proud as a word just doesn’t say enough. Any human taking a dog on has to accept that a dog will do dog things. This is particularly pertinent with a rescue dog.

Make no mistake – I am a stubborn, outspoken, stroppy, impatient human being with very high standards and expectations from other humans. I do not (and never will do) suffer fools (nor incompetent / hypocritical people) gladly (if at all). I am what I am – I make no apologies!

This four legged furbaby has melted and stolen my heart and together we are formidable as a team. He has inadvertently taught me so much about life. He has also saved me.

Whoever saves one life saves the world entire. Strange things happen in life when you least expect them…..
